Tobago Football Organization and highlighted certain aspects of the
games. The games were between FC Batalana and Real CyahBeatus at
Camp New, Barataria and the other game between Real Madras versus
Belta Vigo, at the Burnabout, San Fernando.
a) FC Batalana and Real CyahBeatus (“RCB”) In the 60th minute of
the game, there was a one was versus one situation between Abumyang
of FC Batalana and the Goalkeeper Marco of RCB. Abumyang skillfully
got pass the goalkeeper and as Abumyang was about to kick the ball
into the goal, defender Randy Slider of RCB, came in with a hard
tackle. The tackle appeared to be late, mistimed and it was further
described as an error of judgment. Abumyang’s injury was serious
enough for him to be stretchered off and it was later reported that
it was a knee injury that may end his career. In 92nd minute of the
game, player Petri of FC Batalana scored and exciting game winner
and in the celebrations a bleacher stand broke down and a number of
spectators were injured. The organizer issued a statement that the
bleachers were improperly constructed by the contractors.
