2. (30 points) Point Charges. We will be considering point charges located on a horizontal axis (i.e. electro- statics in 1 dimension). A point charge QA = +500 nC is placed on the x-axis at x = 0 and a second charge QB +2 nC is placed at x=1.0 cm. = (a) What is the magnitude of the electrostatic force[in N] between them? (b) Is it attractive or repulsive? (c) Now imagine we remove QB and leave only Q₁. What is the magnitude of the electric field [in N/C] at x=1.0 cm due to QA? (d) If you now place a charge Qc = +4 nC at the point where you just evaluated the electric field, what is the magnitude of the force [in N] experienced by Qc?
