kg. A 1002.002 kg car is on the bridge with its
centre of mass halfway between the hinges and the cable
attachments. (The bridge is supported by the two cables and hinges
only. Use the diagram below for more information on the dimensions
of the drawbridge and other useful information. Then answer these 2
questions:
1. What is the tension in the cables in N?
2. What is the magnitude of the force exerted by the hinges on
the bridge?
3. What is the angle the force exerted by the hinges makes to
the horizontal (θ in the diagram below) in radians?
