A 5-kg block is compressed a distance of 150-cm against a spring of spring constant k-75 N/m and released from rest. The block travels towards the left and encounters a "rough" patch of ground that is 50-cm long and has a coefficient of kinetic friction of 0.20. On the other side of the "rough" patch is another spring (that is identical to the first spring) that the block will encounter. What we expect is that the block will bounce back and forth between the springs; however, keep in mind there is also the "rough" patch. a. How many COMPLETE times will the block make it across the "rough" patch? (10pts) b. Where will the block eventually stop? (5pts) I MM M 5-kg 50-cm TTTTTTI k=0.20
