1. A 4-year-old child weighing 17.5 kg is to receive Fluconazole for systemic candida infection. The available adult dose is 150 mg. The safe dose range is 6 - 12 mg/kg/day not to exceed 600 mg/day. The Fluconazole is to be given IV bolus for day 1 and orally qday for 3 days.
