The energy levels for the rotational transitions of a hydrogen
molecule are the form Ej = 2hB_0 j(j + 1), where h and B_0 are
constants. For a hydrogen gas that is is in thermodynamic
equilibrium at T = 300 K, calculate the percentage of molecules in
the second excited state relative to the population of the ground
state. The statistical weights of the states are identical.
