An air conditioning handler receives in counterflow, a flow of water through a 2" SCH 40 pipe and coming from a chiller located in the upper part of a building. The water drops to 1kg/s and a temperature of 10°C in order to extract heat from a 3kg/s air current generated by the blowers of this handler. The temperature at which the air enters is 28°C and it is expected to leave this system at a temperature of 23°C. the air-side process can be approximated at 1 atm pressure, determine: 1) The temperature with which the water returns to the chiller, once it cools the recirculating air of the refrigerated space. 2) The enthalpy of the water at the inlet and outlet of the chiller. 3) the heat lost by the air when it passes through the handler in tons of refrigeration. 4) If the chiller has 24 hours of operation and the cost of cooling the air in the system is COP$700/kW air-cold, how much is the cost to keep this equipment running for only 12 hours of operation?
