L is the distance from the top of the post to points K and H. L = 300 mm. 1. Determine the actual state of stresses point H (3 points). Perform free body diagrams of the post (0.5 points). Draw the plane stress element at point H (0.5 points). 2. Draw the Mohr Circle to determine the following (all calculations must be shown): i. Principal stresses (2 points) ii.
