The Marshall method was used to design an asphalt concrete mixture. An AC-20 asphalt cement with a specific gravity (Gb) of 1.058 was used. The mixture contains a 12.5 mm nominal maximum particle size aggregate with a bulk specific gravity (Gsb) of 2.658. The theoretica maximum specific gravity of the mix (Gmm) at asphalt content of 5.1% is 2.468. Trial mixes were made with average results as shown in the following table: "Fill up the table with Gmm, Gse, VTM, VMA, & VFA for all the mixes with 4.1, 4.6, 5.1, 5. & 6.1 pecentage binder contents. Flow (0.25 Stability VTM VMA VFA Pb(%) Gmb Gmm Gse kN (%) (%) (%) mm) 4.1 2.361 6.7 11 4.6 2.376 7.1 12 5.1 2.401 5.8 13 5.6 2.407 5.5 14 6.1 2.422 5 21
