Which statement is true for coding fractures and fracture
treatment?

A splint or cast CPT code is reported separately with an
initial fracture procedure CPT code.
Open treatment of a fracture CPT code can be reported with a
closed fracture ICD-10-CM code.
A traumatic fracture receiving treatment for the initial
encounter reports the 7th characters K, M, or N on the
ICD10-CM code.
When reporting an ICD10-CM code for a fracture not documented
as open or closed, report the open fracture code.
