You are now in your second month of working as a HR graduate at
Hazel Hen. Dr Wing has called an emergency meeting to discuss a
problem with one of the franchisees in Melbourne, who owns four
Hazel Hen restaurants. These restaurants have been hiring new crew
members over the last two months.
Dr Wing has received information that this franchisee, Mr Imso
Vain, has been basing his hiring decision on the attractiveness of
the candidates – that is, when faced with two candidates with
almost identical skill sets and experience, Mr Vain has been
offering the role to the more attractive candidate. Is this wrong
if so why?
