A solid insulating sphere with radius a has a positive charge density puniformly distributed throughout its volume. It is surrounded by a concentric spherical shell with inner radius b and outer radius c, which has a net negative charge -Q. The region between r= a and r = b is empty. P a. Use Gauss' Law to find an expression for the electric field outside the conducting shell (where r>c). Include sketches of the field and area vectors, and explain each step of your work. b. Find the amount of charge on the inner surface of the conducting shell. c. Find the amount of charge on the outer surface of the conducting shell. Your answers to each should be in terms of p, Q, a, b, and c, as needed. C.E N -2 a -Q C
