Suppose that a researcher wanted to determine whether gender affects beliefs about appropriate length of prison sentences for men convicted of domestic violence. The researcher gathers a sample of 10 men and 10 women to answer their questions. Participants were given a hypothetical domestic violence scenario and asked how long the male offender should be sentenced. The following results were obtained.
