1. Construct a frequency distribution table using the live cattle price data. Use the categories 0.70-0.89, 0.90-1.09, 1.10-1.29, and so on (cattle price is in dollars/pound). Include in your frequency distribution table columns for lower limit, upper limit, class midpoint, frequency, and cumulative frequency (order the columns as done in class notes). To count observations into your frequency distribution table, follow the procedures explained in the Technology Insert at the back of Chapter 2 Notes. The complete dataset is in an Excel file is available on Blackboard. 2. Draw a histogram based on your frequency distribution table. Be sure to label the axes (showing units of measure) and provide a title. 3. What is the shape of the distribution of live cattle prices? 4. Draw a frequency polygon (use scatter diagram in Excel): Be sure to label the axes (showing units of measure) and provide a title. 5. Draw a cumulative frequency polygon (or ogive-use scatter diagram in Excel). Be sure to label the axes (showing units of measure) and provide a title. Write 1 or 2 sentences to interpret the point 1.24 on the horizontal axis of the graph.
