MELC 24: identifies the length of a confidence interval 8. Estimation is the process of making generalization and inferences about the population parameter using sample statistics. 9. A researcher/experimenter can set the confidence level of an estimate to 100% if he/she wants to. 10. The margin of error is the maximum error between the observed sample statistic and true value of the population parameter. 11. When the confidence level decreases, the interval of an estimate gets wider. 12. A population proportion is the ratio of the population given a specified attribute. 13. At 90% level of confidence, a critical value of 1.645 will be used when the sample size is 34 and the population standard deviation is UNKNOWN. 14. Given that the sample size is small and the population standard deviation is unknown, then the appropriate test is t-test. 15. Subtracting the margin of error from the mean will result to the upper bound of the interval.
