M&D Chemicals produces two types of soap (A & B). Based on an analysis of current inventory levels and potential demand for the coming month, M&D's management specified certain constraints that must be placed on total production, processing time, and demand. M&D's objective is to satisfy these requirements at a minimum total production cost. Production costs are $2 per bar of soap for product A and $3 per bar of soap for product B. To find the minimum-cost production schedule, we arrive at the following linear program: Let A = number of bars of soap for product A. Let B = number of bars of soap for product B. Minimize 2A + 3B Subject to 1A >125 1A + 1B2350 2.5A + 1B≤600 Demand for product A (number) Total production (number) Processing time (minute) A, B 20 & integer Using integer linear programming, find the optimal number of products A and B that should be produced to minimize the production costs. What is the optimal value of the objective function?
