The dimensions are width b = 60.0 mm and thickness t = 5.00 mm, and the crack may be as long as a = 20.0 mm. The member must resist a tension force of P = 8.00 KN. (a) For a safety factor of 2.50 against brittle fracture, what minimum fracture toughness Kic is required?
