greetings please help with thermodynamics
The following two reactions occur at 725°C in a
furnace.
Given:
Fe + 1 2 ⁄ O2 = FeO
∆G = −282245 + 65.22T Joules CO + 1 2 ⁄ O2 = CO2
∆G = −245116 + 62.4T
Joules

In a new atmosphere of 62% CO and 38% CO2 will the Fe be oxidized
or will the FeO be reduced? Explain your answer by using
calculations.
