A developer needs to abide by council regulations in a new
subdivision. Regulations stipulate that buildings can occupy up to
60%
of the area of the property and must be a minimum distance of
1.3
metres from any boundary. The project architect has drawn up plans
for
74 identical villas, with each building occupying a space of 9 by
15
metres.
The villas will be placed on the blocks as shown in the diagram
(not to
scale):
