1. A 60mm diameter shaft is subjected to axial forces of 50kN and 120kN as shown in Figure 1. Given the diameter of the collar (A) and (B) are 100mm and connected to the shaft. The shaft can pass through the rigid steel support. (Ignore any friction between the shaft and rigid steel where 3mm in Figure 1 is the clear gap between shaft and support).
