A vapor compression heat pump cycle uses R134a as the working Muld. The heat pump provides 35 kw to heat a dwelling on a day when the outside temperature is below freezing. Saturated vapor enters the compressor at 1.6 bar and saturated liquid exits the condenser at 8 bar. Pertinent data at each state are provided in Table 2. Assuming a compressor Isentropic efficiency of 75%, determine the following: a. The mass flow rate of the working fluid in kb/s b. The power input for the compressor, in kW C. The coefficient of performance (COP) of the cycle d. Represent the heat pump cycle on a T-s diagram, showing all states, processes, and energy transfers (25 points) Table 2: Properties Given for Problem 3 State P (bar) h (kJ/kg) 1 1.6 237.97 2s 8 271.22 2 8 h2 = ? 3 8 93.42 4 1.6 h4 = ?
