Question 1 10 Pts A Tubular Counter Flow Heat Exchanger With A Tube Diameter Of 0 25m Is Required To Reduce The Temperat 1 (140.11 KiB) Viewed 17 times
Question 1 10 pts A tubular counter flow heat exchanger with a tube diameter of 0.25m is required to reduce the temperature of hot oil flowing at a rate of 36000kg/hour in an industrial process with an initial temperature of 70°C using raw water from a local river water as the coolant. The raw water is drawn at a rate of 15910 kg/hour from the river at a temperature of 8°C and due to environment regulations the water must be returned to the river at a temperature no higher than 30°C. The overall heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger will be 0.7kW/m².K. and the specific heat capacity (Cp) of the process oil and raw water can be assumed to be 2200J/kg.K and 4187J/kg.K respectively. Calculate the minimum length of the require tubes. Input your answer to one decimal places figures in m (DO NOT INCLUDE UNITS IN YOUR ANSWER
