Question: As a design engineer, you have
to design a transmission line of a three-phase, 50Hz, 550-KV
transmission line from Muzaffarabad to Lahore. The line parameters
per phase per unit length are found to be:
R= 0.021 ohm/ km, L = 0.21mH/Km, C = 0.0121 uF/Km
Determine the performance of the transmission line parameters at
different conditions.
1. Determine the line performance when the load
at receiving end is in the range of 500-800 MW, Leading power
factor at 500KV.
2. Determine the line performance when the load at
receiving end is in the range of 500-800 MW, Lagging power factor
at 500KV.
Comment on the efficiency and voltage
regulation
