You are automation engineers for a production system, which
controls the movement of parts along a conveyor system. You are
responsible for overseeing PLC programming and wiring, you have
been given the task of converting the requirements outlined below
into ladder logic for the system and testing the operation. To aid
future work with the system you are also required to define the
inputs. A motor will run anticlockwise when Button A is pressed, it
will change direction when Button B is pressed 3 times. It is only
possible to change the direction of the motor in the first 5
seconds i.e. if button B is not pressed 3 times, 5 seconds after
Button A is pressed then the motor will continue to move
anticlockwise. When the motors is running anticlockwise, 10 seconds
after initiating the movement an LED will switch on. When the motor
is running clockwise, 10 seconds after initiating the movement LED
2 will switch on.
