Q2. Equipment ratings for the five bus power system shown in Fig. below are as follows: (30 pts) Generator 1, G1: 50 MVA, 12 kV, X"=0,2 pu Generator 2, G2: 100 MVA, 15 kV, X"=0,2 pu Transformer 1, T1=50 MVA, 10kV Y/138 kVY, X=0.10 pu Transformer 2, T2=100 MVA 15 kV Delta/138 kVY, X=0.10 pu Each 138 kV line X=4052 A three phase bolted fault occurs at bus 5, where the pre-fault voltage is 15 kV. Neglect pre-fault load current and (a) Draw the Positive sequence reactance diagram in per unit on a 100 MVA and 15 kV base in the zone of Generator 2 (b) Determine the Thevenin's equivalent at the fault, the sub-transient fault current in pu and in KA, and contributions to the fault from generator G2 and Transformer T2 sides. (c) Use graph theory to build the Z bus (show all steps) and determine the fault current using Zous T1 G1 7 not 8 N G2 5 . OH + m Δ 3 3 T2 4
