The single-phase equivalent circuit parameters of a 3-phase star-connected asynchronous motor are given below.
Total mechanical and friction losses will be neglected.


rated power = 6kW
rated voltage = 400 Vrms line (231Vrms phase-neutral voltage)
rated frequency = 50 Hz
number of poles = 4

r1= 1.2 Ω, x1 = 1.1jΩ r2= 0.6Ω, x2 = 0.8jΩ xm= 11.7jΩ rc= ∞

a) Plot the following graphs of this engine with the help of matlab (by changing the shift in the range of 0 to 1)


I. Moment-velocity (or Moment-slip)

ii. Stator current-speed (or stator current-slip) and rotor current-speed (or rotor current-slip) in the same graph

iii. Input power-speed (or input power-slip) and output power-speed (or output power-slip) in the same graph

iv. Power factor-speed (or Power factor-slip)

v. Yield-speed (or Yield-slip)


b) Plot the same graphs (changing the shift in the range of -2 to 2). Interpret the results separately.
