Q4: A battery is modelled as a voltage source Vs that is in series with a resistor Rs. The parameters of the battery can be measured using the circuit shown in Figure (a). When switch S is open, the open-circuit voltage Voc can be obtained from the voltmeter. When S is closed, the current Im flowing through the battery and the protective resistor Rp can be obtained from the ammeter. For a certain battery (Battery A), it is known that Voc = 3.6 V, R, = 102, and I'm = 300 mA. Two identical sets of Battery A are connected in series to drive n resistive loads connected in parallel, as shown in Figure (b). If R, = R2 = ... = R, = 12 12, please find the number of the resistive loads, n, to realize maximum total power consumed by the load Ri, R2... R, + A R R R. } R V + R, Battery A Two sets of Battery A in series (a) (b)
