Need help please
1. A completely mixed activated sludge process is to be used to treat a flow rate of 1.0 MGD. Design a square activated sludge reactor with no redundancy. (design only 1 reactor for all flow). Use the following design criteria: C. - a. BODs influent = 180.0 mg/L b. MLVSS (X) = 3000 mg/L Solids retention time (SRT) = 4 days d. Reactor depth = 10 ft e. Effluent BOD5 must be less than 15 mg/L f. Y = 0.7 mg VSS/mg BOD 8. K= 5 day? h. Ks = 55 mg/L BOD5 i. Kg = 0.05 day-1 j. Reactor should be square in shape k. MLVSS/MLTSS = 0.8 -1 Determine the following: a. Actual effluent soluble BODs in mg/L if SRT = 4 days b. Volume of aeration basin and the dimensions of the surface, if the depth is 10 feet, to the nearest even foot Amount of sludge wasted in terms of total suspended solids in lbs/day d. Oxygen requirement for BOD removal in lbs/day C.
