As a local city council, Majlis Daerah Pekan has decided to undergo the construction of a new layer of pavement connecting UMP Pekan to Pekan town. However, to determine the most suitable type of pavement, the council management has agreed to compare the design between flexible pavement and rigid pavement. Thus, as a pavement engineer assigned to this project, you are required to propose TWO pavement thickness designs for the council's consideration. One design of flexible pavement and one design of rigid pavement. In your proposal, kindly include the following: 1. Specification used for each design. 2. Parameter used for each specification. 3. Calculation/Design procedures. 4. Sketch and label the component in the design. 5. Comparison analysis of both designs.
