1 – THE RESEARCH QUESTION: We have discussed various examples in class that may be subject to focus groups. You are expected to choose a research question that is methodologically appropriate to be the “focus” of a group discussion.
2 – What is the role of the FOCUS GROUP in your research design? Is it exploratory research or will it be a part of a mixed research process? What is the expected contribution of this FOCUS GROUP to the research process?
3 – Recruitment – How many participants are planned to be recruited? What kind of a participant profile you are planning?
4 – Time and Place – Where will you hold the FG at? Why do you think this place is appropriate? How long do you plan the FG to last for?
