An engineering team has the choice of harnessing power from
river water or wind.
The water in the river flows at 5 m/s and 125,000 kg/h. There is
a 77m drop in the rivers path where the harnessing can take
place.
Wind following at 8.75 m/s and wind turbines are available with
blades that can intercept 231,000 kg/h of air from the wind.
