Stephanie is currently undertaking her PEP (Professional Experience Placement also known as Clinical Placement), in a small regional town, and the CT (Clinical Teacher) advises that he wants Stephanie to take the next admission that comes in, so as he can assess her interviewing skills. The next patient, Billy Jones, a 29-year-old male, is the lead singer of the rock and roll band booked at the showground next week, which of course Stephanie and her friends have tickets for. Stephanie explains to her CT that she is so nervous; he is a big star, and she has had a crush on him for years! The CT advises that because it is a small town, she may well encounter celebrities at any point, and that she must be always conduct herself in a professional manner. Billy has collapsed while rehearsing and is bought into the hospital for investigations. He argues that it's just because he is tired and probably not eating the best because he has had a sore throat 'forever' and he is not getting enough sleep. The Dr runs a series of tests and finds that Billy has throat cancer. Stephanie attends to the admission, and at the end, Billy asks her for assurance that his records are confidential, because he doesn't want it known that he is having these tests, as he believes it could damage his image if people thought he may never sing again. Stephanie explains, "oh don't worry, no one will know about why you are here". After work, Stephanie is so excited that she has met her idol, that she calls her bestie to meet her in the café as she must tell someone about her day. She is so excited that she has forgotten to change out of her nurse's uniform before leaving the hospital. Stephanie explains to her bestie about Billy and then makes her friend promise that she won't tell anyone. Unbeknownst to them both, a reporter was sitting at the next table, and heard every word that was said, and has given the 'scoop' to the editor. Next morning Stephanie and the CT are called to the Nurse Unit Managers office, where they are given a copy of the local paper, with a headline that reads "nurse spills the beans on Billy". Stephanie was asked for an explanation as she was the one who had admitted Billy and had the knowledge of why he was there. Stephanie denies any knowledge of this.
