-P Q: A screw turbine as shown in the figure below is rotating by the action of water flow and then rotates the generator through a gearbox which is located between the screw turbine and generator. Flange coupling (1) & (2) are connecting the screw turbine with the gearbox and the gearbox with the generator, respectively. The generator delivers the power of about 25 kW at speed of 200 rpm. The operating application requirements are to be 30000 hours, gear D and gear E is spur gear.
