An incident oblique shock wave strikes a solid wall exactly in
the corner of a compression wedge at an angle-of-incidence to the
wall of a, = 30° as seen in the attached Figure One. The static
pressure ratio across the incident shock is P2 / Pi = 3.40625, and
the Mach number in Region Three is M3 = 1.0. Determine:
a. Mi Mach number in Region One
b. flow turning, i.e. flow deflection angle
from Region One to Region Two
c. M2 Mach number in Region Two
d. 2<|>3 flow turning, i.e. flow deflection angle
from Region Two to Region Three (5 points)
e. The wall angle ß defined in Figure One.
