Answer Happy

The patient presented to your clinic today stating that she has a sore throat and lumps in her neck. She had some nausea and vomiting last evening. She is not due for her period at this time but has not missed one in months. The patient states that these symptoms have been going on for more than a week and she "just feels really bad". She presently denies any shortness of breath, difficulty breathing. chest pain, lightheadedness, dizziness, or loss of consciousness. Height 5'4", weight 142 lbs., BP 121/92, pulse 121, temp. 38 °C (100.4 °F). Sinuses are non-tender. Nares (nostrils) are normal Throat is very red (see picture)

Neck is supple with two lymph nodes on the right. Cardiac: Regular rate and rhythm, no murmurs. Lungs: CTA, no CVAT. The patient's throat is swabbed and sent to the lab for culture.
