A propeller-driven airboat of mass m=200 kg uses a fan to focus air at T=30°C (p=1.16 kg/m3 ) through a diameter of D=1.0 m with a uniform velocity (B-1). The boat travels at 3 m/s and the water drag force on the boat is 50 N. The air drag and inlet velocity are negligible. The pressures at the inlet and outlet are atmospheric (P1=P2=1 atm). Assume V1=0 m/s. Find the following: a. The air exit velocity V2 (m/s) needed to maintain constant speed b. The pump power (Watts) needed to accelerate to 5 m/s2
