Water Flows from a tank through a piping system and to a pump and finally flows out to the atmosphere as shown in the figure below. The diameter for both the suction and discharge is D = 78 mm and total length (Lsuction +Ldischarge) is l = 20 m. Flow rate in the pipe is 3000 L/min. Determine: a) The power transferred to the water by the pump in kW. [5 Marks] b) obtain the system curve equation in the form: hp = a + KQ where a and k are constants and Q is the flow rate in L/s.
