1) A three-phase system has balanced conditions so that the per-phase circuit representation can be used as shown in Figure 1. A) Select the turns ratio of the step-up and step-down transformers that the system operates with an efficiency greater than 99 percent. Moreover, find the complex power (received or given) of all components in the circuit and the V1 and V2 voltages. The load voltage is specified as 4 kV rms, and the load impedance is 4/3 ohm. B) For the turn ratios found in section A, find the complex power of all components and the V1 and V2 voltages in circuit under the case of that load impedance is adjusted as 4/3+1/8j ohm. C) For the values which are given in section B, the capacitance is connected parallel to load, please find the which capacitance value must be to make the power factor of the load 1.0. Moreover, find the complex power (received or given) of all components in the circuit and the V1 and V2 voltages. D) For the turn ratios found section A, find new load impedance that transfers maximum power, determine the maximum power delivered to new load and compare with section B and C. 1:n 2.52 140 Ω n2:1 20 " 20 kV V2 Load Figure 1
