PROJECTE Problem Statement For the 2D-geometry indicated and assigned to each student with individual data set, determine numerically (wa finite-difference method (FDM) by hand-calculation or using a computer), the potentials at four nodes (A, B, C, D) situated in a dielectric medium of permittivity (*) as shown in Fig. P.1. The dielectric medium is made of nine identical squares (d * d each) and it is biased on its sides with voltages V. V. V and V, as shown. d V Volt А V volt V volt Dielectric medium: O Flu. VA volt With reference to PROJECT and Fig, P.1, cach student is assigned with a Group and corresponding data set as given below. Each student should submit a detailed Report consisting of a) Statement of the problem with a neat diagram of the specified 2D-geometry with relevant indications of boundary conditions and pertinent details b) Clear statements of the boundary conditions: (Type etc) c) A step-by-step hand calculation or a computer algorithm (Matlab C/C++) on finite difference method (FDM) applied to the structure of 2D geometry d) Develop a matrix depicting the linear equations on the unknowns: V. V. V. Vo c) Calculated potentials at the nodes A,B,C,D: VA, V. V. Vol 1) Listing of calculated computed results
