The Counter-EMF of a Shunt Motor is 227 V, the field resistance
is 160Ω and the field current is 1.5 A. If the line current is 36.5
A, find the Armature resistance. Calculate also the Armature
current when the motor is stationary. Note: At the instant of
starting, the Armature is stationary then the Counter-EMF is zero.
