Two channels (C200x17) are connected with four bolts to a 30 mm thick gusset plate to transfer a specified (unfactored) load of Ts = 900 KN under slip-critical condition. The channel and plate are both grade 350W steel. The surfaces are all unpainted blast-cleaned.
