Q.2 Determine the member end moments for the following structure with loading and a settlement of 0.5 inch at node 2 using slope deflection method. Members 1 and 2 are 30 and 60 ft long. E = 29000 ksi and I=3500 in4. Members 1 and 2 are 30ft and 60 ft long, respectively and the point load of 5 kip is applied at the mid-span of member 2. Also, note that 1 kip / ft UDL is applied on the entire structure.
