For the 5-Storey RC condominium building, design a rectangular
beam at the ground floor with fy = 413.70 MPa, fc′ = 21 MPa and a
steel ratio approximately equal to 0.18fc′/fy. The beams has a 7.62
meter simple span with a dead load, in addition to its own weight
(assume beam weight = 5.84 kN/m), equal 29 kN/m, and a live load
equal to 44 kN/m. Draw the detail of the beam considering ACI/NSCP
codes, specifications and standards.
