Marxist feminists speak about 'false consciousness'-- the mistaken belief of the exploited class that they are as free in their choices as the class that exploits them. Thus, if women choose, for example, to be prostitutes or pornographic models or surrogate mothers, it is highly likely a 'coerced' choice more than a free one even if no one puts a gun to their heads. They are, in effect, coerced by circumstances of poverty/financial need, lack of skill, lack of education. All of these already limit their choices. This is why the capitalist system that creates an exploiter and an exploited must be overthrown.
