Q3. A current of 2 mA flows into a 12μF capacitor for 5 seconds. a) Determine the potential difference across the capacitor plates after this time has passed. (2) b) Calculate the energy stored in the capacitor. (1) c) The capacitor has a dielectric material of relative permittivity εr=7.5 separating the plates. The thickness of this material is 0.05 mm. Calculate the effective area of the capacitor plates. (5 marks)
