3. Consider the following game. All Food and Food Tiger, the
only two supermarkets in town, are competing clients. All Food
decides first whether to advertise or not advertise. Then, Food
Tiger, knowing All Food’s decision, decides whether to advertise or
not. Advertising is costly. If neither of them advertise, they both
make $5,000 per day. If only one of them advertises, the one that
advertises makes $6,000 and the other makes $4,000. If the both
advertise, they both make $3,000. a) Show this game using a fully
labeled game tree. List all the strategies for Food Tiger. b) What
is the subgame perfect Nash Equilibrium? Explain why. c) If the
supermarkets made their choices simultaneously, what would be the
dominant strategies and likely outcome for this game?
Explain.
