Mass A stays on top of mass B without sliding off (i.e. there is friction between the blocks). a. Draw a separate FBD for each of the masses. Then draw a FBD for the whole system. b. What is the acceleration of the blocks? c. What is the minimum coefficient of static friction to keep mass A from sliding off? d. Suppose the coefficient of kinetic friction between the blocks is half that of the static friction you calculated in part c. Given the same tension Ft acting on block B as before, what would be acceleration of block A if it was slipping?
