Problem 2: Change in Entropy The split box from problem 1 is now set up with N = 100 molecules. Before the partition is removed, each side has 50 molecules as shown. A. Find the multiplicity of this case. (Hint: Start by writing it in terms of 2, and the number of ways to put 50 particles in each side, and then plug in numbers.) B. The partition is removed, and one particle moves from the left half to the right. Find the multiplicity in this case. C. Calculate the change in entropy in this process, when one particle moves from the left half of the partition to the right half.
