A 100 W bulb with a resistance of 15 Ohms is connected to a battery with a terminal voltage of 5.0 V and internal resistance of 0.15 Ohms.
a. Calculate the electromotive force of the battery.
b. Assume that the two cables used to connect the bulb to the battery are not ideal. They are 0.3 m long, they are made of copper (1.72 x 10^(-2) Ohm • m, 3.9 × 10^(-3) 1/°C), have a circular cross section with a diameter of 3.0 mm and are at 40°C. Repeat the previous calculation by taking this in consideration.
