(a) Answer the following questions: (i) Use Gauss' law to calculate the electric field at distance r from an infinitely long line of charge with a uniform positive linear charge density 1. [10 marks] (ii) A current of 0.3 A is passed through a lamp for 2 minutes using a 6 V power supply. Calculate the energy dissipated by this lamp during these 2 minutes. [5 marks] (iii) A square loop of wire lies in the plane of the page and carries a current I as shown in Fig. 1. A uniform magnetic field parallel to the side MK causes the loop to rotate. Determine the axis and direction of rotation. Justify your answer.
